12 Glory Laps in 12 Hours

12 Glory Laps in 12 Hours
Last February 20th, I hiked and skied 12 laps on Mt. Glory. 19,638 feet climbed with skis on my back and 19,638 feet skied to raise money for Camp To Belong. It's snowing again and I'm ready for the 2nd edition! Click the logo for more info and ways to support camp!

The Aftermath

Little bit dusty. Tired and fatigued. A few small blisters. Two moderately sore big toenails, but otherwise two happy feet!

Our hotel room garbage can after the run. I wonder what the housekeeper thought looking at all the colorful little foil gel carcasses.

The upper section of the Bright Angel trail just below the south rim. This is what we ran in the dark both on the way out and the way back. It was interesting to see the trail in the daylight for the first time.

Our route across this giant crack in the Earth followed the Bright Angel Fault shown here extending from the bottom center up and to the left to the north rim. This fault bisects the Colorado River Canyon and apparently is the easiest route across the canyon.
