12 Glory Laps in 12 Hours

12 Glory Laps in 12 Hours
Last February 20th, I hiked and skied 12 laps on Mt. Glory. 19,638 feet climbed with skis on my back and 19,638 feet skied to raise money for Camp To Belong. It's snowing again and I'm ready for the 2nd edition! Click the logo for more info and ways to support camp!

12 Glory Laps in 12 Hours

On Saturday morning, February 20th 2016, at 7am, I will be attempting to ski 12 Glory laps in 12 hours. This involves climbing approximately 1,650 feet with skis on my back to the top of Glory Peak above Teton Pass, skiing down, and repeating 12 times in under 12 hours. Total elevation climbed for the day will total approximately 19,800 feet!

Together with Kris Lunning and the King Ridge Foundation, I am honored to be pursuing this project to raise funds and awareness for Camp To Belong, an organization that works to reunite brothers and sisters who have been separated in foster care for a week of summer camp. This will be a big day, to say the least! And an amazing way to prepare for the Elk Mountain Grand Traverse ski race that team "Camp To Belong" will be participating in on March 26th, 2016.

My goal is to raise $12,000. Ambitious? Absolutely! Uncomfortable? Perhaps. But this is nothing compared to a childhood spent away from my own siblings. It can be as simple as $1 per lap.
